04/01/02 Romania
Greetings to all.
This might be a brief update as the internet access is being shared
between many of us and it is late. We have arrived to Romania by the
grace of the Almighty, and were received warmly into a home of John
Dobrovot's nephew. We had the opportunity to visit our first village today,
and it was quite an experience. It was not a scheduled church day, but
the village gathered together to hear what these visitors from America
had to say. All five of us had opportunity to share with these blessed
people. Being in front of these people and looking out towards their
faces was like looking into a sea of humility. We are talking about
people using horse drawn carts, oxen to plow (or some by hand), etc. The
children sang us such fervent and beautiful songs. Tears were shed,
and I pray that our hearts have been softened. We are scheduled to be
visiting many small villages in the days to come, and prayers would be
appreciated, that we might have words of encouragement for these people.
If you haven't already visited www.easterneuropeoutreach.org, I
encourage you to, as it might give you an idea of what we are
experiencing.
Shalom
