04/27/02 Jerusalem, Israel
Greetings
It seems as though our friend Paul won't be making it here any time soon after all... He was in
Cairo, and was planning on taking a bus to meet us on Thursday, but the border was closed
between Egypt and Israel. He thought that this would be the case for some time, and ended
up getting a flight back to the US. He might have already left by now.
We did get a nice visit today, however, from some of our Christian friends from Tel Aviv. They are
two women who Steven and I have known for some time from the States. (I only knew one
of them before coming here.) They (even from their time in the States) are focused on ministering to the
"hippies", or counter-culture kids. Today we spent part of the day with them, and
were refreshed by their fellowship.
We also have been running into, daily, the people who organize the Jerusalem
Festival that we played at a while back. They are planning them monthly now, and we have
been helping them with their new Website. It looks as though we are invited to play at the next
one, so if any of you in America would like to come- you are welcome! Actually many people have
said that this is a good time to come here as there are hardly any tourists!
Thank you all again for your prayers and concern and emails. We don't know what tomorrow might
bring forth, but we are encouraged today...
