Eastern Europe Outreach

Serving Widows and Orphans in Romania and Moldova

Each day, Eastern Europe Outreach workers venture into cities and villages (primarily in the regions of Botosani, Dorohoi, Suceava and Vaslui, Romania and in select areas in the Republic of Moldova). Their mission is to minister to those in need and distress, offering comfort and encouragement and attending to their material needs as God leads. As funds or goods are distributed, friends, relatives and neighbors often gather around to see and hear.

"Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world"

James 1:27

Our identity

Eastern Europe Outreach

Serving widows and orphans in Romania and Moldova through practical help, personal visits, and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

The Work

Every visit is an opportunity to serve.

In so doing, they witness both an immediate proof of God's providence and the eternal message of God's love. Every humble house, street, courtyard, hospital room or church can become a mission field, and a wonderful opportunity to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Some of those visited receive help on a regular basis. These are mainly older widows who have no ability to provide for themselves. For others, funds are distributed for special situations, such as injuries, natural calamities, sicknesses or other circumstances. Recognizing that needs vary greatly, we don't rely on a fixed formula. Instead, we carefully assess each situation, pray, and provide as our Father leads. For some it is better to leave funds.

For others it is better to provide food, firewood for winter time, medicine or other specific necessities. After providing assistance, we follow up, continuing to minister from the Word of God and continuing to look for further opportunities to share the Gospel wherever they arise.
