Living for His Glory

"That we should be for the praise of His glory . . ."
(Ephesians 1:12)

We were called to live and serve for God's glory. When we allow God to use us and work in us His good will, we discover not only that we fulfill His plan but also that we find our deepest fulfillment in Him. When at the center of our hearts is the desire to glorify Him, the trials and difficulties of life become opportunities to know Him better, to trust Him more fully, and to have the glory and beauty of His divine life shine brightly through our human frailty and weakness. Whenever His love, patience, kindness, gentleness, peace and joy are manifested in our lives in the midst of adverse circumstances, we serve to the praise of His glory as we testify of His great power, love and wisdom as well as of His all-sufficient grace to help us overcome and persevere to the end. Only His presence with us is the true source for peace above all understanding, joy in spite of all circumstances and hope beyond the things that can be seen!

There is no more dignifying way to live this life and no higher calling than to serve such a great God and to become partakers to His eternal glory at the end of our journey. When we allow this vision of God’s perfect glory to take dominion over our lives, our greatest joy and most earnest desire will be to tune our will to His perfect will, to follow Him without reservation, and to let His perfect love do its mighty work in our hearts, transforming us from glory to glory, to a more closer resemblance to Him. Our God is worthy to receive all praise and glory and honor. Let us give our utmost to serve Him with all our strength and love Him with all our heart, so that when men shall see our lives they can do nothing else but glorify our Father which is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16)
